What to expect from your aesthetics consultation at Skinphinity

An aesthetics consultation with Dr Kyra is your chance to explore your skin concerns, have all your questions about treatment options answered, and for us to make a plan together based on your budget.

Your suitability for the treatment is also checked.

This is deducted from any future treatments, should you decide to go ahead.

  • 1. Your consultation appointment

    You arrive at the clinic, take a seat in waiting area and make yourself comfortable. A member of our team will be out to collect you.

  • 2. Consultation and Paperwork

    Consultations usually last 20 minutes. Your medical and medication is history taken. We will have a relaxed assessment of your anatomy, main concerns, and Dr Kyra will give an explanation of what treatment options there are. Consent is discussed, and any concerns are answered.

  • 3. What to Expect

    Please note there will not usually be time during the consultation appointment to carry out the treatment unless otherwise discussed with Dr Kyra prior to the appointment. (The main exception to this is CryoPen treatments.)

    You’ll get an explanation of your treatment, and what to expect. Pain relief is discussed e.g. whether you need or want numbing cream. Before photos are taken in all circumstances.

  • 4. Treatment

    If after your consultation you decide to go ahead with a treatment, you can book a treatment appointment for a later date of your choice.

    During the treatment your comfort is paramount. Treatment is usually much quicker than many will anticipate and we can review things in the mirror as we go along.

  • 5. Safety and aftercare

    Your safety is also paramount. Dr Kyra will check if there are any complications. She will provide safety netting information and give you clear advice about aftercare and how to avoid infection, e.g. advice about heating and make-up, and will answer any questions you have.
