Skin Peels (Resurfacing) in Tarporley and Middlewich, Cheshire
Where traditional chemical peels use single acids to remove the outer skin layer to penetrate deeper layers of skin, at our Skinphinity clinics in Tarporley and Middlewich, we partner with pHformula to perform skin resurfacing. Resurfacing is a type of skin peel that uses a combination of acids to gently work their way into the skin, leaving no peeling or irritation.
Skin Resurfacing gives a far more pleasurable experience than traditional chemical peels.
Skin Resurfacing with pHformula
For our skin peels at Skinphinity, we have partnered with pHformula, whose skin resurfacing system is targeted to the needs of your skin type – whether that is anti-ageing, hyperpigmentation, chronic redness, acne, wrinkles, or even if you are looking for an instant boost. Different treatments can be combined in a specially-designed programme with controlled strength and depth depending on the sensitivity levels of your skin.
The ‘layer and leave-on’ treatments don’t need to be timed as the products are self-neutralising and can be left on the skin. A package of integrated support products can be used at home, guaranteeing the best possible results and maintenance.
Skin Peel (Resurfacing) FAQs
What problems can Skin Resurfacing solve?
We can treat wrinkles, age spots, acne, scarring, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, dull skin, ageing....even if you have 'perfect' skin we can improve the skin's integrity to help keep it that way and reverse any sun damage which may cause future issues. Or if you're in need of a brightening treatment before a big event, we can help with that too!
How does Skin Resurfacing work?
pHformula have designed innovative products which gently pass through the top layer of skin, rather than removing it like a traditional peel would. We will assess your skin at an initial consultation and use the correct combination of chemicals to target your concerns. A course of treatments is usually recommended and best results will be achieved in combination with our home resurfacing kits. It is a very bespoke treatment.
What happens during the treatment?
We cleanse your face thoroughly and then apply the treatments using a brush or spatula, depending on the treatment. You may get some tingling/heat as the active ingredients pass through the top layer of skin.
Are there any side effects?
There are minimal effects following a resurfacing treatment. Some treatments may leave a redness which lasts about 20 minutes, and occasionally, if the skin is dry in patches, you may get mild flaking in that area a couple of days later. Otherwise it is a very tolerable treatment.
